German Election Leaks Via Twitter

Leaks of exit poll results of three German state elections before the polls closed happened via Twitter.  The leak seemed to have happened even an hour before closing.  The scariest part is that leaks can be faked and that could determine an election.  What if via Twitter one side creates the illusion of a landslide victory, and it happens to be very close.  If the non-tech savvy party does this, they could beat the tech savvy party.  Otherwise it could backfire.
